An SMTP server is the system you connect to when you want to *send* mail to others.
In the interest of security and privacy, mainville.org does not provide an SMTP server to
its members. This decision is based on the assumption that you probably already have an email
account through your internet service provider (ISP) and so you probably have access
to your ISP's SMTP server. You can use that SMTP server to send email.
Of course, when you send mail through your ISP's SMTP server it
may not allow you to send mail with a return address of @mainville.org. In that
case we will make the mainville.org SMTP server available to you.
Requests to use the mainville.org SMTP
server will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Contact us if you need
to use our SMTP server.
